Founder of the predecessor of Bagaria, Ms Rózsi Bojár began to manufacture quality leather bags at master level more than 50 years ago. That time she made handbags for women only, and her products soon became so popular that she could open a shop in the early 1950s and sold the excellent-quality leather handbags, waist-belts, wallets and purses there. The orders from Bojár company soon required the entire family to participate in the designing, manufacturing and selling of the products.

Today the extended and modernised manufactory--where manual labour and craftsmanship is still much-valued--is managed by the third generation of the family. Early in 2006 the exclusive showroom and shop under 10, Váci street, in disctrict V. of Budapest was entirely refurbished and restored in its full pride.

The ladies' and men's ware of Bagaria have been present at the collections of local and international fashion houses for a decade, both in Western Europe and in the United States. The quality hand-made leather products--handbags, waist-belts, wallets and purses--are manufactured with the latest technology and are marketed under the BAGARIA brand name.

Along with the BAGARIA line the shop in Váci street is also the exclusive distributor of several famous Italian brands, that are becoming more and more popular among the Hungarian and foreign customers.

The owners come out with new collections every quarter, following the seasons and trends and paying special attention not only to the demand and expectations of female customers but also of men. Along with the traditional items the company also sells special and individually designed handbags, setting directions for those interested in present-day and future fashion trends. In the unlikely event of a customer being unable to choose from the wide selection of colours and patterns, the manufactory is also ready to effect orders for tailor-made products - i.e. a handbag for a special occasion (ball, wedding, reception), a special colour or an individual design.
